The Mission Viejo Activities Committee (MVAC) is made up of Mission Viejo residents and business owners working together to make our community and the entire South County a better place to live, work and play.
For more than 50 years, MVAC has been a volunteer, nonprofit civic organization dedicated to bringing people together through community service, events and programs that benefit the residents of Mission Viejo.

MVAC is dedicated to strengthening our community through volunteer service, family-friendly events, educational opportunities and programs that bring Mission Viejo residents together.
Get Involved
Getting involved with MVAC is easy. Any Mission Viejo resident or business owner in the surrounding area is welcome to join and participate. There are no dues or membership fees — just opportunities to volunteer, meet your neighbors and help make our community an even better place to live, work and play.
MVAC also offers opportunities for young people to get involved. Our Youth Group welcomes volunteers ages 10–17 and participates in MVAC events throughout the year. We encourage families to get involved together and experience the rewards of community service.
Our History
Established in 1967, the Mission Viejo Activities Committee (MVAC) began as a volunteer, nonprofit civic organization dedicated to fostering community spirit and creating events for the residents of Mission Viejo. From the very beginning, volunteers helped bring neighbors together and establish traditions that would become an important part of the community.
Over the years, MVAC has grown along with Mission Viejo while remaining true to its volunteer roots. What began with early community celebrations, including the first “Five Days of Christmas” in 1967, has evolved into a year-round calendar of events and activities. Today, MVAC volunteers help organize community favorites such as Bunny Days, the 4th of July Street Faire & Fireworks Spectacular, seasonal boutiques and home lighting contests.
More than five decades later, MVAC continues to bring residents together through volunteer service, community events and family-friendly activities. With both adult and youth volunteers playing an important role, MVAC remains committed to making Mission Viejo a great place to live, work and play.
